neoplas GmbH puts its emphasis on utilisation and valorisation of research results for industrial applications. Clients are both public research institutions and high technology companies. Being founded as a spin-off of the Leibniz Institute for Plasma Science and Technology (INP Greifswald), neoplas acts as a developing and constructing partner, but includes management and marketing know-how to bridge the gap between a first idea in the lab and the successful product launch on the market. neoplas has been involved in several national and international projects and currently employs 16 persons (FTA). The three main competencies of the neoplas are:

Since 2005 neoplas GmbH has transferred several technologies to market available products, such as a plasma jet system for various applications across different industry branches. It has also developed an active thermal probe for an optimised quality control in industrial processes. Beyond these commercially available devices, neoplas has developed several demonstrators and prototypes with different plasma sources and for different purposes. During the past years, the technology development department of neoplas has gained a remarkable expertise in plasma-based decontamination systems for the food industry. Apart from its´ involvement in several R&D projects related to food technologies, neoplas manages the network Plasma4Food, which initiates R&D-activities of currently 30 partners in Germany and six other countries.
As experts in commercialisation of scientific results, neoplas selects from a broad range of possible technology transfer possibilities to find the best fit for the clients´ individual purposes, covering the entire value chain from lab to end user. Being the coordinator of the Germanywide transfer network “Research2Market”, neoplas involves the experts who are familiar with target markets and suitable methods or processes such as: pre-project coordination, public funding, contract research, patent and contract management, entrepreneurship & coaching. For the time being, neoplas consults seven well-known non-university research institutes in terms of technology and knowledge transfer.
In science communication and research marketing, neoplas focuses on the visibility of ideas & results, research proposals or or high-technology products – the aim is to promote products or concepts towards target groups in public administration, politics, industry or science. Whether through print materials or web, scientific conferences or trade fairs – neoplas acts as full service provider for science communication and technology marketing.
