Institute of Physics of the University of Greifswald

University of Greifswald was founded in 1456. It consists of 5 faculties including natural science and medicine. More than 10500 students are presently enrolled at the University.The University has a strong background with respect to the Baltic sea region, in life sciences and in plasma physics. The Advanced Surface Technology Research Laboratory (ASTRaL) is a research unit of Lappeenranta University of Technology (LUT) specialising in surface technology, in particular thin film deposition and surface modification. Institute of Atomic Physics and Spectroscopy is a multi-disciplinary research division at Faculty of Physics and Mathematics, University of Latvia.
